Your computer is going to get cluttered up, infected, crash, and perform badly. It cannot be avoided. If you can't fix it yourself, you're going to need technical support.

Internet DesignWorks offers competitive prices for quality service. With your permission IDW can remotely connect to your computer to give your computer a complete tune up. It costs $75 for the first hour, then $29 per hour thereafter. Typically, tune up sessions last two hours.

COMPUTER TUNE UP CHECKLIST

The following items will be checked and with your permission applied.

AntiVirus

It is critical to have an antivirus program installed and up to date. This will be checked and if you do not have an antivirus a top-rated free antivirus will be installed. If you already have an antivirus in place it will be checked to be sure it is up to date and that it is scheduled to scan on a regular basis.

Adware

Adware can accumulate with typical use of browsing the internet. These unwanted files can slow your computer down and track where you go on the web. A utility will be used to scan your computer for adware to clear out these files.

Add / Remove Programs

With your input and permission, IDW will go through your list of installed programs. Any programs that you do not want or use can be uninstalled by Internet DesignWorks.

Note: If in doubt of ANY program it is best not to uninstall it.

Temp Files

With typical computer use there are tons of unecessary temporary files that accumulate. These eventually will slow your computer down and must be periodically cleared from the computer.

A utility will be used to search for and clear out all temp files.

Registry Errors

When programs are uninstalled they leave behind registry entries.

The registry will be backed up and then a utility ran to resolve any errors from left behind entries.

Backups

As an educator, I highly rely on my computer. All computers eventually fail. It is not a matter of "if" but "when". If your computer died or was stolen would you be able to restore your data? A FREE online backup system is available and can be installed on your computer.

You will be set up with 2GB of secure online storage space for backups. It is secure with coded encryption and password protected.

Disk Defrag

All of your program files will be scattered on your hard drive slowing down your computer. Internet DesignWorks can fix this problem with a disk utility that will go beyond most commercial disk defragment systems.

A defrag utility will be ran to organize all of your files together. This speeds up the performance of your computer and all of the installed programs.

Disk Check

A disk check will be scheduled for the next reboot. This utility is already on all computers and will scan your hard drive for errors and correct them. This could take a half hour to run.
